As a Mold/Asbestos Analyst in San Diego, you will be a vital part of our team ensuring the safety of our built environments. You will perform analysis of bulk samples using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) for asbestos and analyze non-culturable surface and air samples for fungi. Your work involves preparing and analyzing environmental samples according to scientific methodology, strictly complying with company Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
In this role, you will validate and review data for accuracy, enter laboratory data into the LIMS to generate client reports, and manage sample workloads according to due dates and hold times. You will exercise discretion and judgment in operating job-specific laboratory testing equipment, perform independent data reviews, and assist in the development and implementation of QA processes. You will also coordinate projects to ensure timely delivery, manage laboratory inventory, and support the maintenance of necessary laboratory accreditations.

Academic and/or professional optical microscope experience. 8 units of Microbiology courses. Knowledge of general regulatory requirements. Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
