About the Role
Lap of Love seeks a Mobile Veterinarian to provide compassionate, in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services for companion animals. In this role, you will travel to families' homes to perform gentle physical exams, manage pain and symptoms, and guide caregivers through difficult end-of-life decisions with empathy and clarity. You'll ensure peaceful, dignified goodbyes while upholding high medical and ethical standards.
Supported by a collaborative team, you'll focus on meaningful, relationship-based care that honors pets and the people who love them. To qualify for the Mobile Veterinarian at Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice position, applicants should have: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited program; Active, unrestricted state veterinary license; Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; DEA registration for controlled substances (or eligibility); Prior small animal clinical practice experience; and Training or CE in hospice/palliative care preferred.
