About the Role
Lap of Love seeks a compassionate Mobile Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services for pets. You will conduct thorough quality-of-life assessments, guide families through end-of-life decisions, and deliver peaceful, dignified farewells in the comfort of home. This role offers meaningful, emotionally impactful work focused on improving the final chapter for pets and the families who love them.
You will partner with a supportive, collaborative team that values empathy, clear communication, and high standards of care. As a Mobile Veterinarian, you represent Lap of Love with professionalism and empathy in all client interactions, ensuring safe and compassionate handling of animals and their owners during difficult times.

To qualify for the Mobile Veterinarian at Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice position, applicants should have: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution; Active, unrestricted state veterinary license in service area; Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for house calls; DEA registration (or eligibility) for controlled substances; Certification or training in hospice/palliative care (e.g., CHPV) preferred; and Fear Free or Low-Stress Handling certification preferred.
