Lap of Love is seeking a compassionate Mobile Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and peaceful euthanasia services for companion animals. This role exists to bring clinical excellence and deep empathy directly to families during their most difficult moments. You will travel to homes to perform quality-of-life assessments, manage pain and comfort, and guide pet owners through end-of-life decisions with clarity and kindness.
Your day will be defined by meaningful interactions rather than a clinic setting. You will conduct thorough exams, administer medications and sedation, and perform dignified euthanasia following strict medical and ethical standards. Beyond clinical duties, you will educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare, offering bereavement support when it is needed most. You will collaborate with a supportive team that values emotional support for both pets and families, ensuring continuity of care alongside referring veterinarians.
Candidates interested in this mission-driven role should submit their application with a valid DVM/VMD license in a practicing state, a valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle. We look for individuals with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in hospice and palliative care.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
