Lap of Love is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. Our family-centered culture prioritizes work–life balance and professional growth, ensuring that veterinarians can serve their communities without the stress of a traditional clinic environment.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will serve as a vital partner to families navigating the difficult journey of their pet's final days. This role exists to bring peace, dignity, and professional medical expertise directly to the home, allowing pets to pass peacefully surrounded by their loved ones. You will conduct home visits to assess quality of life, develop individualized care plans, and manage pain and symptoms with empathy. Beyond clinical duties, you will offer gentle guidance to families as they make end-of-life decisions, providing a supportive presence during their most challenging moments.
Supported by a remote administrative team, you will enjoy the flexibility of a field-based schedule. Your day will involve traveling to various locations to perform hospice care, palliative treatments, and dignified euthanasia, all while maintaining a high standard of care and documentation. This position offers a unique opportunity to focus entirely on the patient and family experience, free from the constraints of a busy clinic floor.
To join our team, please submit your application through our careers portal. Selected candidates will proceed through a multi-stage interview process designed to assess both clinical expertise and cultural fit. This typically includes an initial screening call, a discussion of your clinical approach to hospice and palliative care, and a final conversation with the hiring team to explore your alignment with our mission.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the families we serve. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
