Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate, in-home end-of-life and hospice care for companion animals. Our mission is to help families provide meaningful, peaceful farewells by guiding them with empathy and clear communication during their most difficult moments. We are a mission-driven team that values dignity, emotional support, and collaboration, ensuring that every animal receives a gentle and respectful transition.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will serve as the primary caregiver for pets in the comfort of their own homes. This role exists to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and emotional support, performing quality-of-life assessments, palliative care, and peaceful euthanasia. You will work independently in the field, managing your own schedule and traveling to client homes to deliver personalized care.
Your day will involve conducting thorough physical exams and pain assessments, developing individualized end-of-life care plans, and safely administering sedatives and euthanasia solutions. Beyond clinical duties, you will be a source of comfort for pet families, helping them navigate difficult decisions with compassion. You will also maintain detailed medical records, coordinate logistics, and ensure the safe operation of your vehicle to transport necessary supplies and medications.
Candidates interested in joining our team are encouraged to apply directly through our careers page. The selection process typically involves a review of your credentials, followed by an interview to discuss your experience in hospice care and your alignment with our values. We look for veterinarians who are not only clinically skilled but also deeply committed to the emotional well-being of both animals and their owners.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the communities we serve. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, identity, or experience.
