The Mobile Community Manager serves as the operational backbone for Pratum's affordable housing portfolio, providing on-site management across one or more residential multifamily communities. This unique position is designed to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the mid-Atlantic region, with a primary focus on the Washington DC Metropolitan area (including Virginia and Maryland). However, the role demands a high degree of mobility; overnight travel to any state within Pratum's nationwide portfolio is required to provide operational coverage where needed.
You will act as the face of the company for residents, staff, and owners, bridging the gap between corporate strategy and on-the-ground execution. Your day will involve managing complex compliance requirements for HUD Project Based Section 8 and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs while fostering a vibrant community through resident engagement initiatives. From leading staffing and training efforts to driving sales and customer service targets, you will ensure that every property operates efficiently and inclusively.
To succeed in this mobile capacity, candidates must reside within 30 minutes of a major airport in the mid-Atlantic region (e.g., DC, MD, VA) and possess reliable transportation. The role requires flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate resident events and operational needs. You must be prepared to serve on-call as scheduled and travel to owner gatherings or other properties as necessary.

As a full-time team member, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health and welfare coverage, 11 paid holidays, 2 weeks of paid vacation, and 3 weeks of sick and related leave. The role offers an anticipated annual pay range of $55,000–$75,000, with potential for discretionary and performance-based bonuses. Two (2) years of supervisory experience with a track record of effectively working with all levels of staff and management. Experience and proficiency with Yardi software systems. CPO, COS, and/or BOS certifications. HCCP & SHCM or equivalent certifications.
