About the Role

The Millwright - Level 1 position at our McDavid, Florida location is a key component of our company-wide continuous improvement efforts. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a vital member of a high-performing team dedicated to maintaining operational excellence.

In this role, you will work safely with all machinery within the mill, utilizing troubleshooting and predictive and preventative maintenance strategies on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment, including conveying systems and major machine centers such as debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers. Your day-to-day activities will involve welding, operating oxy-acetylene torches, and maintaining basic tools like grinders, hydraulic presses, drill presses, and air tools. Additionally, you will move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
