The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a collaborative and experienced physician to lead the Division of Midlife Health. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized Midlife Health Center dedicated to providing evidence-based, holistic care for women aged 40 and beyond. As one of the few specialized centers in the country focused on this demographic, the division is known for exceptional patient satisfaction, evidence-driven care, educational excellence, and active involvement in research and community engagement.
This leadership position is open to Associate or Professor Ranks and is available on either the clinical or tenure track, depending on qualifications and experience. The Division Director will serve as a role model for faculty and staff, creating and sustaining a positive, inclusive work environment. The role involves developing and implementing strategic plans for clinical growth, education, and research, while fostering a culture of research within the division.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading clinical and/or translational research aligned with personal interests, supporting the education of fellows, residents, and medical students, and ensuring compliance with ACGME and LCME requirements. The Director will also build on the division's robust philanthropic efforts, expand community engagement across the local catchment area and the Commonwealth, and elevate the division's reputation by engaging with national and international societies and journals.
