The Microbiology Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Director, driving departmental initiatives while acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for microbiological operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of aseptic processes and product release through rigorous oversight of testing protocols and validation efforts.
In this position, you will lead the coordination of microbiological testing, organism identification, and the technical review of batch filling records. Beyond daily execution, the role involves interpreting complex environmental monitoring and sterility data, managing laboratory equipment records, and driving quality initiatives through policy development and technology transfer. As a leader, you will also be responsible for training team members on departmental methods and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve company goals.
The role requires the ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines, with flexibility to adjust hours as operational needs dictate. While the primary focus is on laboratory and office duties, the position may involve some travel and the interpretation of various instructions, including written, oral, and diagrammatic formats.
