The Department of Craniofacial, Oral and Materials Sciences at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is a multi-disciplinary research team comprising both basic science and clinical faculty. We are poised to leverage novel technologies at the Anschutz Medical Campus to develop new dental materials and prosthetics with unique antimicrobial and antifungal characteristics. Our mission is to directly improve oral health through high-performance research.
As an Entry Research Services Professional, you will be a key contributor to projects focused on the synthesis of monomers and polymers, as well as the analytical characterization of these materials. Your day-to-day work will involve the formulation, polymerization, and detailed evaluation of polymeric materials, specifically assisting in the development of robust, high-performance photocurable materials for applications such as biomaterials and 3D printing compositions. You will also support the laboratory's microbiological work by preparing bacterial culture media, culturing BSL2 organisms, and quantifying bacterial growth. This role requires close collaboration with senior researchers to document results, troubleshoot experiments, and communicate findings during weekly lab meetings.
The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is nationally recognized for the quality of its educational programs, interdisciplinary research, and excellent clinical care. We are deeply invested in creating career pathways and learning opportunities to support our workforce. Beyond the work itself, we offer an exceptional benefits package including generous holiday, vacation, and sick leave, comprehensive medical and dental plans, a 401(a) retirement plan with employer contributions, and access to tuition benefits across all CU campuses.
