The Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Analytics group is dedicated to bringing new cutting-edge medicines to patients around the world. Our team members leverage the latest science and technology to characterize and develop new drug candidates, guiding them from early development phases through to commercial launch. We operate within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment where innovation and efficiency are paramount to our mission of advancing Pfizer's global pipeline.
As a Director in the API Analytics team, you will lead a group of analytical scientists in assessing the chemical and physical properties of Pfizer's newest drug candidates. Your primary focus will be evaluating their suitability for progression into clinical studies and eventual commercialization. This role is designed for a leader with a deep passion for developing early-career scientists, guiding them to solve complex technical problems, and fostering their continuous growth.
You will serve as a strategic partner to Chemical Research and Development, defining control strategies and driving the decision-making process within a global matrix organization. Your day-to-day involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while championing novel ways of working, including digital efforts, modeling, and simulation. You will ensure robust analytical deliverables that meet project milestones while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a comprehensive interview process designed to assess both technical leadership capabilities and cultural fit. The process typically includes discussions on strategic vision, team development approaches, and specific scenarios related to pharmaceutical development and regulatory strategies. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to influence peers, collaborate across global networks, and drive meaningful business impact.
