About the Role
WPMI/WJTC is seeking a Meteorologist/Reporter to join our award-winning news team. In this role, you will be the voice and face of the weather, responsible for the content of the weathercast on-air and across our digital platforms. Your day-to-day involves forecasting, producing, and presenting clear, concise weather casts that tell a story and connect with viewers. You will issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events. Beyond the studio, you will utilize social media during severe weather, write weather stories, make public appearances on behalf of the station, and pitch story ideas while developing contacts. You will work closely with producers to determine relevant weather content in both breaking and everyday situations.
