About the Role
WCIV in Charleston, SC, offers an exciting opportunity to join our team of meteorologists. In this role, you will collaborate with the Chief and other meteorologists to create weather segments, cover live-breaking and severe weather events, and produce weather-related stories and content for our digital and social platforms.
You will be responsible for the content of the weather cast both on-air and on our digital platforms. Your day-to-day will involve presenting forecasts that tell a story and connect with viewers, issuing warnings and alerts, producing graphics and maps, and reporting live during weather events. You will also utilize social media during severe weather, write weather stories, make public appearances on behalf of the station, and work with producers to determine relevant weather content for both breaking and everyday situations.
