Your Role at Dollar Tree
As a Merchandise Assistant Manager, you will join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. This role is central to our mission of delivering value to our customers every day. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, ensuring the sales floor remains sales-effective and the store environment is clean, safe, and respectful.
In this position, you will partner with the Store Manager to manage freight flow, order and stock merchandise needs (including frozen and refrigerated items), and plan monthly sales initiatives. Your day-to-day involves maintaining company standards for the stockroom and sales floor, processing corporate directives, and ensuring a high-energy, team-oriented atmosphere where professional and friendly interactions are the norm.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProcess freight flow and manage the receipt and return of DSD merchandise
- check_circleOrder and stock merchandise needs including frozen and refrigerated items
- check_circlePlan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items
- check_circleProtect and secure company assets including store cash and adhere to safety guidelines
- check_circleAssist the Store Manager in leading the team and managing day-to-day store functions
- check_circleExecute corporate directives such as Pull and Hold, Destroy, and Task Compliance requests
- check_circleMaintain store cleanliness by cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash
