Your Role at Dollar Tree
As a Merchandise Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, you will join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. This role is pivotal in ensuring our stores operate efficiently while delivering the value our customers expect every day.
You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, working closely with the Store Manager to manage the receipt and return of DSD merchandise. Your day-to-day involves planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners, maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items, and ensuring the sales floor remains optimized for performance. You will also oversee the ordering and stocking of merchandise needs, including frozen and refrigerated items, in accordance with productivity standards.
Beyond merchandise, you will assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities, from opening and closing procedures to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, including the stockroom, sales floor, and restrooms. You will play a key role in protecting company assets and ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
