The Mental Performance Intern provides vital support to the Mental Performance program, with a primary focus on youth athletes within the FCC Academy (U13 through U18). This role is designed for individuals passionate about sport psychology and soccer who wish to contribute to the holistic development of players.
You will work closely with the full-time Mental Performance Coach and Director of Sports Performance. The position offers a unique opportunity to assist in delivering group training sessions, individualized consultations for active and injured players, and the production of performance materials. Interns will explore mental enhancement technologies and engage in reflective learning practices. For those interested in professional certification, the role may include supervision toward the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) credential recognized by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
Interns receive a comprehensive welcome package including resume and profile reviews, a tour of TQL Stadium and the Mercy Health Training Center, and opportunities for community volunteering. The program offers paid hourly wages or college credit, along with discounts on team merchandise and job shadowing opportunities.
