The Mental Health Worker (MHW) serves as a vital support to licensed nurses within our mental healthcare setting, ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. This role is designed for individuals who can respond quickly to changes in patient status while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
In this position, you will act as a key communicator between the patient, the nursing team, and administration. You will monitor vital signs, behavioral patterns, and physical symptoms, promptly reporting any shifts in a patient's clinical condition to the Charge RN, Manager, or Administrator. Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, you will perform essential nursing functions, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and help identify patients at risk for falls.
