About the Role

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the face of Planet Fitness, dedicated to creating a positive and welcoming environment for every member, prospective guest, and visitor. This position goes beyond standard customer service; it involves actively engaging with the community, ensuring the facility remains a clean, safe, and inviting space for fitness enthusiasts.

The Overnight Member Services Representative plays a unique and critical role in this ecosystem. Working independently, often alone for the duration of the shift, this role requires a high degree of self-reliance and situational awareness. You will be the sole guardian of the club's safety and security, responsible for maintaining the facility's standards, addressing issues promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere without direct on-site managerial support. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in autonomous environments and take pride in proactive problem-solving.

The Day-to-Day Experience

Your day will be defined by interaction and vigilance. You will greet members and guests as they enter and exit, conducting facility tours and handling front desk activities such as new sign-ups and account updates. Whether answering phones with a friendly demeanor or resolving member inquiries, your goal is to exceed expectations and elevate the member experience.

Beyond customer interaction, you will ensure the club's physical environment is pristine. This includes thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, and fitness equipment, as well as stocking supplies and reporting any maintenance issues. As an overnight representative, you will also manage the facility's security, documenting non-emergencies in the Communication Log and contacting management only when necessary. You will work independently, requiring you to stay alert and handle situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
