The Front Desk position serves as the welcoming face of our medical practice, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for every patient. This role is the operational hub of the office, responsible for managing the flow of daily administrative tasks while maintaining a courteous and empathetic environment for patients and their families.
You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, managing the reception area, and facilitating communication between patients and clinical staff. The position requires a high degree of diplomacy to navigate a fast-paced environment, often dealing with sensitive health information and occasionally irate callers. Your ability to multitask, organize schedules, and maintain confidentiality is essential to the team's success.
Your day begins by preparing the office for the day's appointments, checking voicemails and faxes, and sorting incoming mail. Throughout the day, you will manage patient check-ins using Epic workflow, collect copays, and explain financial requirements with clarity and tact. You will also handle a high volume of incoming calls, routing them appropriately and ensuring no message goes unanswered.
Beyond patient interaction, you will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas. At the end of each day, you will reconcile collected funds and prepare patient accounts for the following morning. This role demands constant interaction with others in a setting that may involve contact with sick patients, requiring adaptability and a calm demeanor.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted to discuss their experience and availability. The process includes a review of qualifications and a conversation to assess fit within our team culture.
We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background and strive to maintain an environment where every team member feels valued.
