Methodist Health System's Laboratory Services team is dedicated to supporting quality patient care through precision and integrity. We operate in a fast-paced, inclusive environment where compassion and accountability drive our daily work. Our team collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow lab professionals to ensure the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy.
As a Medical Technologist, you will be the backbone of our diagnostic capabilities, performing complex laboratory testing and analyzing results to guide clinical decisions. This role exists to ensure that every test result is accurate, compliant with regulatory standards, and delivered in a timely manner. You will analyze data from hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology, serving as a critical link between the lab bench and patient care.
Your day will involve operating and calibrating sophisticated laboratory analyzers, processing patient specimens with meticulous attention to detail, and conducting rigorous quality control procedures. You will verify test results, identify critical values, and promptly communicate significant findings to the care team. Beyond technical execution, you will troubleshoot instrument issues, maintain strict safety and biohazard protocols, and assist in training new staff and students to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidates with strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with clinical laboratory equipment are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the values of integrity and compassion that define our organization.
