About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care according to unit policies. Your role involves providing supervision to non-RN personnel and, when assuming the charge role, delegating and overseeing unit activities. You may be required to work on other nursing units based on the distribution of staff and patients to ensure a high level of service.

In this position, you will function as a preceptor to new staff and serve as a charge nurse. You will be responsible for assessing the patient's physical and psychosocial condition, developing and communicating a plan of care that involves the patient, family, and healthcare team, and evaluating the effectiveness of that care. Additionally, you will plan for patient and family education, meet performance expectations regarding customer service and teamwork, and demonstrate specific competencies in neuro patient care, including airway management, tracheostomy care, and ventilator support.
