About the Role
Trusted Health is seeking a Medical Surgical Oncology nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you'll deliver evidence-based care to oncology and post-surgical patients, manage complex treatment plans, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team. You'll assess, monitor, and educate patients and families throughout the care continuum.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct bedside care to adult oncology patients on medical-surgical units
- check_circleAdminister medications, chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies safely
- check_circleMonitor patients for treatment side effects, complications, and changes in condition
- check_circleManage central lines, infusion pumps, and other specialized oncology-related equipment
- check_circleDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care with the interdisciplinary team
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
- check_circleCoordinate with physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to support care transitions
- check_circleAdhere to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory safety guidelines
- check_circleParticipate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- check_circleAdvocate for patient preferences, comfort, and safety throughout the continuum of care
Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedOncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred
- verifiedChemotherapy/Biotherapy administration certification preferred
- verifiedCompact state RN license preferred for travel assignments
