To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values—integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion—must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.
As an Ultrasound Technician, you will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment under the direction of a qualified physician. This role requires the ability to perform dynamic ultrasound procedures with independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, often without direct supervision. You will contribute to the efficient operation of a multi-disciplinary department that includes abdomen, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular studies, and echocardiography.
You will be expected to share call responsibilities, perform administrative duties, and contribute to teaching and in-services. In the absence of an immediate supervisor, you may assume a leadership role within the department. If you are not initially qualified in echocardiography or vascular examinations, training in these modalities is expected to be completed within one year of your date of hire. Your work directly fulfills the hospital's mission statement.
Candidates must demonstrate a satisfactory combination of education and experience specifically in ultrasound. A six-month or more experience is preferred. Please note that this position requires CPR certification (BLS) and ARDMS certification or eligibility.
YNHHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran). We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
