As an Echocardiography Sonographer at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, you will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care. This role involves performing various ultrasound procedures, reviewing patient history and physician orders, and scheduling exams. You will educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure their understanding and cooperation, and when ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and positioning patients for imaging. You will analyze results to identify quality issues, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures on equipment. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as necessary. This position offers an opportunity to model proficiency by precepting those new to imaging or UCHealth and to contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
This is a Full Time (0.9 FTE) position working Days, covering 72.00 hours per pay period. The role is structured as a 13-week assignment with extension options available. A competitive pay rate of $60.00 per hour is offered, plus a travel package/stipend. Local traveler contract options are available for candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility.
