You will join the Neurology department within the HBD unit at Albany Medical Center. As part of the broader Albany Med Health System, our team is dedicated to advancing neurological care while upholding the organization's strategic plan and guiding principles. We strive to create an environment where patient safety and the optimal patient experience are our top priorities, ensuring that every interaction reflects the ideals of our department and the hospital as a whole.
This position serves as the vital first point of contact for patients visiting our Neurology practice. You will manage the registration and scheduling process for a diverse patient population, including complex cases and those requiring special consents for state wards. Your day will involve greeting patients with promptness and courtesy, utilizing electronic medical records to maintain accurate patient data, and handling insurance updates, co-pay collections, and financial obligation discussions. Beyond the front desk, you will prepare disability and out-of-work paperwork, schedule follow-up appointments, and act as a communication hub between providers, clinical teams, and insurance companies. Success in this role requires the ability to multi-task in a high-volume unit while maintaining a professional image and adhering to established dress codes.
Thank you for your interest in joining Albany Medical Center. We review all applications to find the best fit for our team. Selected candidates will be contacted directly regarding next steps in the interview process.
