This position provides essential radiation physics support for the treatment of patients with cancer and other diseases requiring radiation therapy. As a member of our clinical team, you will perform duties as a radiation oncology physicist and dosimetrist, playing a critical role in patient care safety and efficacy. Your work involves developing quality control policies and procedures for therapy equipment, maintaining records of routine calibrations, and coordinating the in-service training and repair of medical physics equipment, including radiation therapy linear accelerators and simulators.
You will be an integral part of the patient treatment planning process, verifying prescribed doses through electronic and paper chart QA checks. This role requires close collaboration with dosimetrists, therapists, and staff to ensure the highest standards of care. You will also participate in professional development activities to maintain clinical knowledge and technical skills, adapting your communication style to respect the privacy and unique needs of our diverse patient population.
