About the Role
This position serves as a critical partner in patient care, performing and reporting laboratory tests of all complexity levels as defined by CLIA. Whether serving as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), you will be responsible for specimen processing, instrumentation maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The role requires more than just technical execution; it demands the ability to interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge. You will engage in complex problem-solving, participate in research and development, and provide technical consultation. As a key member of the team, you will also handle phlebotomy duties and contribute to the education of others, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to obtain specific certification within one year of their hire date. For MLT positions, certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or equivalent is required. For MLS positions, certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) is required.
