IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights, and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. We create intelligent connections to accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative medical treatments, aiming to improve patient outcomes and population health worldwide.
As a Medical Director in Cardiology, you will serve as a pivotal medical, clinical, and scientific advisor across all IQVIA divisions. This role is designed to bridge the gap between complex clinical research and strategic business development, ensuring that every project is grounded in rigorous medical science.
You will act as the primary Global and/or Regional Medical Advisor on assigned trials, guiding project leaders through the medical and scientific nuances of the study lifecycle. Your expertise will be critical in supporting investigative sites with protocol clarifications, patient safety determinations, and eligibility assessments. Beyond execution, you will shape the medical strategy for small to large, complex multi-region studies, contributing to client proposals and bid defenses.
The day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of deep-dive medical monitoring and high-level strategic advisory. You will review protocols, Investigative Drug Brochures, and Case Report Forms, while also analyzing adverse events in collaboration with Pharmacovigilance. You will be the voice of medical science at Investigator Meetings and Kick-Off sessions, providing therapeutic training to clinical teams and ensuring the scientific soundness of study designs. This position requires the flexibility to be available 24/7 for urgent protocol-related inquiries and the willingness to travel periodically for regional and international engagements.
IQVIA is committed to a transparent and efficient hiring process. We value integrity and professionalism above all else; all information and credentials submitted in your application must be truthful and complete. Any false statements or material omissions will result in immediate disqualification or termination of employment.
IQVIA is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other status protected by applicable law. We foster a culture of integrity and are dedicated to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for candidate fraud.
