Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInterpret and apply medical billing codes accurately to ensure correct billing
- check_circleRun and interpret complex reports to identify billing errors and inconsistencies
- check_circleImplement strategic plans to improve billing procedures and reduce errors
- check_circleTrain and mentor staff on new billing procedures and regulations
- check_circleConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- check_circleAssist in the development of policies and procedures that improve efficiency and reduce billing errors
- check_circleCollaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies
- check_circleCollaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing issues and ensure accurate financial reporting
- check_circleAnalyze and verify all charges to ensure accurate billing data
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- verifiedMinimum 5 years of experience in medical billing
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of medical billing codes and regulations
- verifiedProficiency in running and interpreting complex reports
- verifiedProficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedCertification in Medical Billing or related field preferred
Nice to Have
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification in Medical Billing or related field.
