Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is part of the Urgent Team family, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. With 18 locations across Tennessee, our centers are dedicated to providing quality, affordable healthcare to the community. Our walk-in centers operate seven days a week, offering treatments for injuries and illnesses, as well as occupational health and wellness care. We serve patients from Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), Saturday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and Sunday (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in the Nashville, TN area. In this role, you will provide essential clinical care within our urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation settings. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, responsible for initial evaluations, x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider evaluation by accurately recording histories, vital signs, and documentation.\n Your day will involve recognizing acuity levels to ensure appropriate intervention, greeting patients promptly, and communicating clearly about wait times and next steps. You will play a critical role in the patient journey by ensuring timely follow-up on lab and x-ray results, assisting with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. As a key member of our clinical team, you will perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained, while strictly adhering to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
