We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in the Nashville, TN area. In this role, you will provide essential clinical care within our urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation settings. You will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for initial evaluations, x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider visits by accurately recording histories and vital signs. Your ability to recognize acuity levels will be crucial in determining the appropriate level of intervention.
Your day will involve greeting patients promptly and communicating clearly about wait times and next steps. You will support front desk operations during check-in and check-out, ensure timely follow-up on lab and x-ray results, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms. A key part of your responsibilities includes performing phlebotomy, injections, and preparing x-rays with a strict focus on proper positioning, safety, and radiation protection.
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. We also offer PRN (per diem) opportunities scheduled on an as-needed basis.
