The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) serves as a vital support member within the Nephrology practice, assisting physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in the examination and treatment of patients within an ambulatory clinical setting. This role is designed to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery under direct supervision.
The position focuses on the day-to-day operational needs of the clinic, from preparing patients for procedures and managing equipment to maintaining sterile environments and handling specimen collection. CMAs act as a bridge between clinical staff and patients, facilitating smooth interactions while upholding the practice's standards of care.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, scheduled for the day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend work is not required. The hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed to meet operational demands.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program, and current certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency. Current CPR and BLS certifications are also required. While less than six months of experience is acceptable, the role demands the ability to gather factual information, schedule appointments, and interact with patients and staff with courtesy and tact.
