As a Medical Assistant at Kaiser Permanente's Franklin Medical Offices in Denver, you will serve as a vital link between patients and our Head and Neck Surgery team. Under direct supervision, your primary function is to room patients and facilitate the provider schedule, ensuring a seamless experience for every visitor. You will make members and patients the primary focus of your actions, developing and sustaining productive relationships by actively seeking to understand their circumstances, problems, and needs.
Your day involves a blend of clinical and clerical duties designed to support physicians and medical providers. You will prepare examination and treatment rooms by cleaning, stocking, and arranging supplies, while also utilizing sterile techniques for special procedures. From taking vital signs and interviewing patients to performing routine delegated medical functions like vision screenings and EKG tests, you will ensure patient safety and quality care in every interaction. Additionally, you will manage the flow of the department by scheduling appointments, maintaining logs, and communicating schedule updates to keep patients and providers informed.
