CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a leading healthcare services business focused on creating integrated and differentiated experiences that put patients at the center of everything we do. As the largest provider of senior-focused primary care, we deliver high-quality, accessible, and personalized healthcare. Our unique care model features integrated teams—including physicians, nurses, and behavioral health specialists—that spend significantly more time with patients to address physical, emotional, and social well-being.
CenterWell is part of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM). We go beyond physical health by addressing the broader factors that impact a patient's well-being, ensuring compassionate care that brings better health outcomes.
As a Medical Assistant at CenterWell, you will be the first point of contact for patient care, blending administrative responsibilities with direct clinical support. Reporting to the Center Administrator, you will work onsite to perform varied activities ranging from moderately complex administrative tasks to direct patient care.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver care dependent on your active certifications. Your day will involve discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests. You will also maintain examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and document information into the electronic medical records system.
While you will follow standard procedures, you will have the latitude to interpret department policies and prioritize your timing to ensure quality standards are met. This position is patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
Our hiring process utilizes HireVue, an interviewing technology designed to help us connect with you and gather valuable insights regarding your skills and experience at a time that suits your schedule. This allows for a flexible and efficient initial screening before moving forward in the selection process.
