As a Medical Assistant at Arizona Center for Cancer Care, you will serve as a vital link between patients and physicians, ensuring efficient and effective clinical care. You will be the first point of contact for patients and families, managing the flow of clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and administrative tasks. You will interview patients to obtain medical histories, measure vital signs, and document test results in electronic medical records. Beyond clinical data, you will assist patients with transfers, dressing, and preparation for examinations, offering personal care and emotional support when needed. You will also manage the logistical side of patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, restocking supplies, monitoring inventory, and handling lab requisitions and insurance authorizations.
