Manchester Memorial Hospital, a vital part of the Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), is dedicated to serving our community with compassionate, high-quality care. Our Healthcare & Medical Services team operates within a supportive, community-oriented environment where every member plays a crucial role in driving meaningful impact on patient health outcomes. We foster a culture of professional growth, ensuring our staff has the resources and encouragement needed to thrive while delivering exceptional service.
As a Nurse Assistant, you will be the backbone of our patient care experience, providing direct, hands-on support under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Your day will involve a blend of essential clinical tasks and deep human connection, ranging from assisting with hygiene, mobility, and feeding to offering emotional support to patients and their families. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout their hospital journey, from admission to discharge.
In this position, you are more than just a caregiver; you are a key observer and communicator. Your ability to accurately monitor vital signs, document care, and report changes in patient status directly influences the quality of medical decisions made by the nursing team. By maintaining a clean, safe environment and adhering to strict infection control protocols, you help protect both our patients and our staff. We offer a unique opportunity to grow your career within a network that values your contribution to the health and well-being of our community.
