Manchester Memorial Hospital, part of the Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), is dedicated to serving our community with compassionate, high-quality healthcare. Our Healthcare & Medical Services team operates within a supportive, community-oriented environment where every member plays a vital role in driving meaningful impact on patient health outcomes. We foster a culture of professional growth, encouraging our staff to develop their skills while making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
As a Nurse Assistant, you will be the frontline of direct patient care, working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. This role is essential to the daily rhythm of the hospital, bridging the gap between clinical procedures and the human experience of care. You will be responsible for providing essential support including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance, while maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and families. Beyond physical care, you will serve as a vital communication link, offering emotional support and clear updates to patients and their loved ones while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive health outcomes.
Interested candidates are invited to apply directly through our careers portal. The selection process typically involves an initial review of qualifications, followed by an interview with the hiring manager to discuss your experience and fit within our team. Successful candidates will be required to obtain or maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and, if applicable, eligibility on the State of Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry within the specified timelines.
ECHN is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. We believe that a diverse team creates a better environment for our patients and our community.
