Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, America's largest dermatology practice, is launching its 22nd year of an elite, full-year internship and medical assistant program. Designed as a "bridge year" for students graduating from or currently completing their undergraduate degrees, this role offers an unparalleled clinical experience for those aspiring to pursue a career in medicine. Most graduates of this program go on to successful careers as physicians or physician assistants.
This position is ideal for individuals who have completed their undergraduate degree by June 2026 or earlier and are not applying for medical school to begin in the class of September 2026. The program provides in-depth medical assistant training and hands-on experience in the dermatology field, allowing participants to meet hundreds of patients weekly and develop essential skills for their future careers.
This is a paid, full-time internship requiring a twelve-month commitment. The role is available in multiple states, including FL, GA, PA, MI, CO, NV, AZ, MD, VA, and WY. Positions are standardly available beginning May 2026 for June 2026 (Summer Graduates), though immediate hire positions are currently available for qualified candidates.
As a Medical Assistant in our dermatology offices, you will assist physicians with patient care duties, including triage, EMR data entry, prescription management, biopsy preparation, and surgical assistance. The time commitment is approximately 30–40 hours per week. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits.
Due to the nature of the role, which involves floating between surrounding offices and practices, a car or reliable transportation is mandatory. Please note that housing is not provided.
Applicants must have completed or be graduating from their undergraduate degree by June 2026. Candidates currently applying for medical school to begin in the class of September 2026 will not be considered. We are accepting multiple applicants for this year's cohort, which currently includes 40 highly qualified participants. Please apply only if you are available for the full twelve-month period.
