United Digestive's Medical Assistant serves as a vital bridge between patients, physicians, and management. This role is designed to ensure seamless clinical, clerical, and organizational operations within our gastroenterology practice. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, managing the flow of the office while ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
In this position, you will manage patient charts, handle test results, and coordinate prescription refills. Your day will involve triaging patients, collecting histories, and performing physical assessments as delegated. You will also assist with in-office procedures, maintain exam room sterility, and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance. The role requires a professional who can balance clinical duties with a warm, helpful attitude, effectively communicating with patients, families, and the medical team to resolve healthcare questions and treatment needs.
