As a Medical Assistant at BHMG Neurosurgery in Lexington, KY, you will provide direct patient care and essential clinical support. Your day will involve obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient histories, and facilitating smooth patient flow. You will manage electronic health records (EPIC), schedule appointments, process medication requests, handle prior authorizations, and coordinate tests and procedures.
Upon successful completion of clinical competency, you may also perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy. Strong communication and organizational skills are vital to ensuring efficient patient care and effective support for our providers. This role requires regular on-site presence to perform essential job functions.
