About the Role

As an Emergency Department Technician II, you will serve as a vital support member of the healthcare team, operating under the direct supervision of physicians and nurses. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to providing competent, compassionate care to patients of all ages and acuity levels. You will be the bridge between clinical procedures and patient comfort, ensuring that the emergency department runs smoothly from admission to discharge.

Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of clinical and logistical tasks. You will assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, and drawing blood. Beyond direct patient care, you will play a key role in emergency situations, assisting with resuscitation efforts, applying splints, and preparing patients for procedures. The role also encompasses essential unit operations, such as managing supplies, processing instruments, handling specimen transport, and performing post-mortem care. As a Technician II, you may also be assigned specific duties related to casting and orthopedic support.

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, along with specific certifications including a Phlebotomy Technician I or II Certificate (California) and Basic Life Support.
