About the Role
L&L Insulations seeks a skilled professional to plan, install, and repair insulation systems for mechanical piping, ductwork, and equipment across commercial and industrial applications. This role is critical for ensuring project specifications are met, waste is minimized, and systems remain compliant with local codes while providing necessary access for future maintenance.
Day in the Life
You will interpret diagrams, blueprints, and sketches to determine the precise location of piping and equipment requiring insulation. Your work involves fabricating and installing a variety of insulation materials, jacketing, elbows, and removable covers using specialized tools of the trade. You will also be responsible for identifying, repairing, and replacing faulty mechanical insulation systems. Success in this position requires the ability to work efficiently at various heights using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts, while managing multiple assignments under tight project deadlines.
Hiring Process
Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of experience and a GED or higher to be considered for acceptance into the local apprenticeship program.
