About the Role

The Hardware Engineering Shipboard Effectors Department is seeking Mechanical Engineers for our Tucson, AZ site to support the Standard Missile portfolio production line. This role is designed for individuals with a passion for the aerospace and defense industry who desire to lead a team in a fast-paced environment delivering products that protect the warfighter.

You will be part of a department that challenges you, grows your skills, and intentionally provides new opportunities across programs to influence product architecture. In this position, you will align with expectations in design, development, and production support areas, working through the entire design life cycle. Your work will involve understanding requirements, concept development, and preparing technical analysis reports and presentations for design reviews.

This is a 100% onsite role supporting the 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 3 PM – 12 AM). The position may require up to 10% travel to government and supplier facilities.

Nice to Have

Four (4) years of professional experience or an Advanced Engineering Degree in mechanical design and documentation within the Aerospace & Defense industry. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5. Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal, structural analysis, tolerance analysis, energetics principles, control systems, interconnect, airframe, or large assembly development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Mechanical aptitude for solving technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
