This position serves as a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert with a specialized focus on Gas and Steam Turbines. As a normal career level cap position within the engineering hierarchy, you will act as an individual contributor in Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineering. Your primary mission is to provide fleetwide technical support for fossil operations, performing root cause analysis and delivering innovative engineering solutions for complex problems involving turbines and rotating equipment.
Beyond daily technical support, you will manage programs and projects designed to enhance the commercial availability of both new and existing technologies. You will contribute to economic justifications for projects and lead special initiatives, ensuring that fundamental scientific principles are applied to resolve Vistra's interests while maintaining effective working relationships across the organization.
