Mechanical engineer / Design engineers, with Manufacturing

About the Role

This 12-month contract position (with potential for extension) is based on-site in North Hollywood, CA. The Project Engineer serves as a Technical Lead, bridging the gap between customer requirements and engineering execution. The role is critical for driving technology development, new product introduction, and in-service reliability tracking within a highly regulated environment.

As the primary point of contact for the offshore team, you will groom and guide their efforts while directly interacting with customers to propose and implement solutions. You will be responsible for designing and leading the development of various modules and release processes, ensuring that the flow, control, and execution of tasks are optimized. The position requires a deep background in mechanical and manufacturing engineering to effectively manage non-conforming material reviews, production modifications, and obsolescence management.

Requirements & Compliance

This role is subject to strict ITAR requirements, necessitating eligibility to work under these regulations. The position demands 100% on-site presence in North Hollywood to facilitate close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Stress Engineers.

Application Instructions

Candidates must possess over 10 years of overall experience, specifically within mechanical or design engineering with a strong manufacturing engineering background. Proficiency in SolidWorks and MATLAB Simulink is required, along with demonstrated experience in coordination, data segregation, and triaging complex engineering challenges.
