Hyperion Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Elevator Equipment team in Richmond, IN. This position serves as a key contributor to our manufacturing process, playing a vital role in designing and developing cutting-edge mechanical solutions that drive the company's success.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to conceptualize and design mechanical components and systems. Your day-to-day will involve utilizing CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, ensuring designs meet functional requirements, safety standards, and manufacturability guidelines. You will also be responsible for creating prototypes, conducting stress and thermal analysis, and interpreting test results to implement necessary design modifications for continuous improvement.
Beyond design and testing, you will work closely with the manufacturing team to provide technical guidance during production, addressing design-related issues as they arise. You will also collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate materials and components while monitoring key performance indicators related to production, quality, and efficiency.
