About the Role
Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Mechanical Designer (COD) to join our growing facility in Arden, NC. This position serves as a critical bridge between engineering concepts and manufacturing reality, providing mechanical design and documentation support for our electrical switchgear and control products.
The role is designed to leverage a high degree of creativity alongside technical precision. You will utilize CAD technology to perform 2D and 3D mechanical designs, translating complex customer orders and engineering work packages into actionable manufacturing information. Whether focusing on electrical layouts or mechanical assemblies, you will collaborate closely with Customer Order Engineers, Application Engineers, and Manufacturing Associates to ensure schedules are met and designs are accurate.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where they can apply their understanding of materials, mechanical and electrical principles, and manufacturing concepts to standard product designs or highly complex custom orders. You will be responsible for managing engineering change notices, coordinating bus connection details, and maintaining detailed bills of materials, ensuring that every design meets the rigorous standards of our quality systems and corporate programs.

Requirements

Nice to Have
