As a member of the mechanical design team, you will partner with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams to develop mechanical physical layout drawings in 3-D models. This role offers challenging assignments involving the design of mechanical systems, as well as investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of mechanical design issues. You will utilize 3D modeling software tools to generate schematics and participate in the coordination of detailed design phases for integrated mechanical design models.
You will independently and as part of a team plan and execute mechanical design deliverables, including general arrangements, piping isometrics, composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings. The position may also include accompanying senior designers and engineers on field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities. Additionally, you will provide guidance to others in the use of drafting tools and serve as a mentor to less experienced drafters and designers.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule, working some days in the office and some days from home.
