Engineers at Amazon work to design resilient, cost-effective mechanical distribution systems to achieve world-class uptime for our customers. In this role, you will justify and communicate technical decisions to Senior Management and drive continuous advancements with your designs. You have the ability to drive change and define the systems our customers rely on.
You will take designs from concept to the permit and construction document set, defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. As a subject matter expert in the mechanical engineering field, you will directly support construction, participating in the process from site selection review through commissioning and ultimately turnover. You will work with internal teams, external groups including utilities, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors, and occasionally travel to sites for reviews, engineering evaluations, and startup support.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. The interview process will evaluate your hands-on mechanical design experience, understanding of critical data center equipment needs, and ability to define constructability for varying designs.
